Notes

If you do not have an espresso machine, a Moka pot or Aeropress is a good substitute for brewing a strong shot of coffee. Or you can use 2g of instant coffee and 2 oz of water to make the strong coffee. Because this blended drink is mostly milk and ice, you will need a strong coffee to bring out the coffee flavor through the other ingredients.

To top your Frappuccino with fresh, homemade whipped cream, you only need two ingredients: heavy cream and powdered sugar. Put a metal mixing bowl in the freezer for a few minutes to chill it. Then pour 1/2 cup of heavy cream into the bowl with a tablespoon of powdered sugar. Using a hand mixer, mix the cream on high until the cream thickens to the desired consistency. If you don't want to make it from scratch, buy the whipped cream topping cans instead.
